CEREC 1-Visit Crowns at Bryan Family Dentistry

Have you heard about CEREC dentistry? CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) gives the general dentist the tools to design and create a crown restoration directly in the dental office. This means you don't have to wear a temporary or wait for a permanent crown to come back from the dental laboratory.

How CEREC works

After removing old fillings, decay or damaged tooth structure, the dentist takes a digital impression of the prepared tooth with a special high resolution camera. This image is transferred to a CAD (computer -aided design) software. Dr. Lucian Bryan and Dr. Rebecca Bryan use this image to design a custom restoration using CEREC equipment and software right next to you, in just minutes.

After the dentist approves the crown design, the CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) technology takes over. The CEREC milling device starts with a square block of dental restorative ceramic or zirconia-based material selected to match to your natural tooth shade. A 20-minute milling process shapes the CEREC block into a custom-fitted crown, based on the design that your Bryan Family Dentist created.

Our Cumming family dental practice has featured CEREC dentistry for over 10 years. Our patients love the conveniences of same-day crowns and the natural-looking results that can be achieved with CEREC.
